Ribbons-N-Rhythmz is a creative way to incorporate movement to music. In the classroom, Ribbons-N-Rhythmz can be used for cross-over activity, creative expression, hand-eye coordination, gross and fine motor skills and following directions, verbal and visual.
Ribbons-N-Rhythmz can be used in nursing homes to help combat depression, help Alzheimer’s and increase range of motion. Clients are excited to hear music they love for Ribbons-N-Rhythmz can work with any music.
Use ribbons, ribbons sticks, ribbons wands, silks or scarves and follow the movement shown on the Ribbons-N-Rhythmz card. Young and old alike, will soon be moving and exercising! Easily adaptable for students with special needs.

1. Start by selecting the music:
Curriculum CD, Classic, Big Band, Jazz, Religious....!
2. Lay the 20 Ribbons-N-Rhythmz cards out so you can see them all.
3. Choose a Ribbons-N-Rhythmz card that goes with the music... (children can do it!)
4. You will create a stack of cards. Place "The End" card so performers know the movement is over.
5. Practice the movements on the Ribbons-N-Rhythmz cards. Students match the movement on the card using a ribbon, scarf or silk.
6. Turn the stack over and play the music! Students begin with the first card and stop at "The End"

You have now become a choreographer!!
